V primeru upravičenih razlogov (npr. starševstvo, daljša bolezen doktoranda, izjemne družinske in socialne okoliščine, status študenta s posebnimi potrebami) lahko članica doktorandu na podlagi prošnje podaljša rok za oddajo disertacije največ za eno leto.
